Don attended Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis, where he was a member of the Indiana Law Review. After graduation magna cum laude in 1993, Don maintained a general practice of law in Danville and Indianapolis, Indiana. He practiced law for five years before joining Pharmacists Mutual in 1998 as an attorney in the pharmacy professional liability claims area.
Don is an attorney and pharmacy professional liability claims expert at Pharmacists Mutual. Don leads the professional liability section of Pharmacists Mutual's Claims Management Department. In 2001, Don was given additional responsibility as General Counsel and member of the Board of Directors of two of the company's subsidiaries, Pro Advantage Services, Inc. and Pharmacists National Insurance Corporation. In 2005, he was appointed General Counsel of Pharmacists Mutual Insurance Company and The Pharmacists Life Insurance Company.
Don is a member of a number of professional organizations, including the American Society for Pharmacy Law. He also serves as Secretary and General Counsel of PMC Quality Commitment, Inc., a company dedicated to the application of continuous quality improvment principles to the practice of pharmacy. Don is also General Counsel of Pharmacists National Insurance Corp. and Assistant General Counsel for Pro Advantage Services, Inc.. In addition to handling pharmacy professional liability claims, Don also writes and lectures on pharmacy liability issues, pharmacy malpractice and pharmacy risk management.
