American Pharmacies is a for-profit, member-owned buying cooperative established in 1999 to protect the interests of Independent Community Pharmacies. Based in San Antonio, Texas, American Pharmacies leverages the combined strength of its membership to:
- Deliver economies of scale purchasing power,
- Impact political, legislative and regulatory issues important to the protection and growth of independent pharmacies, and
- Increase member profitability through rebates, vendor discounts and shared profits.
Analytical Research Laboratories (ARL)
Analytical Research Laboratories was established in 1994 to collaborate with compounding and hospital pharmacists to help them improve the quality of the compounds they prepare through meticulous analysis, data interpretation and troubleshooting. ARL offers a wide array of technical expertise to the pharmacist including analysis of the product, evaluation of compounding methodology, and procedural optimization. USP 797 products and services offered by ARL include; aseptic technique kits and site visits to evaluate clean-room facilities and Standard Operating Procedures. Bankers Leasing Company opened for business in 1946 and specialized in car loans.
